Dr. Yee grew up in New York City. He graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton University with a degree in biological sciences.
He received his medical degree from St. George’s University, where he graduated near the top of his class. While in medical school he conducted glaucoma research at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
He went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at the Westchester Medical Center, where he received the intern of the year award. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was selected as chief resident during his final year. This was followed by completion of a medical retina fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, perennially ranked among the top ophthalmology training programs in the country.
Prior to joining the Retinal Consultants, he practiced in the Washington DC area, where he was on faculty at the Georgetown University department of ophthalmology.
Dr. Yee is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has presented at local and national meetings and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
He and his wife, an optometrist, recently welcomed the birth of their daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, outdoor activities, and mastering the art of pour-over coffee.
